Successful proponent for the next social impact investment announced

The NSW Government has selected the Goodstart Early Learning consortium as the successful proponent to jointly develop a new social impact investment to achieve better outcomes for children through early childhood education, following its recent request for social impact investment proposals (RFP).

The consortium, comprising Goodstart Early Learning and Social Ventures Australia, will work collaboratively with the Government to further develop and negotiate the details of their proposal. Depending on the outcome of the negotiations, the Government may seek to enter into a social impact investment with the consortium.

The Office of Social Impact Investment (OSII) received 19 proposals in total for the RFP, which closed on 12 December 2016. We sincerely thank all proponents for their interest and submissions to the RFP and encourage the market to continue developing proposals for social impact investments with the NSW Government to achieve both social and financial outcomes for the benefit of NSW communities.

OSII looks forward to working with the Department of Education and the successful consortium in the coming months.
